Identifying Fleas

  • Fleas are very small (1/6th to 1/12th of an inch in length) parasitic insects that feed on the blood of warm-blooded animals.
  • Reddish-brown in color that become redder after feeding
  • Fleas have a flat, hard body and six legs. Very long and powerful hind legs are used for jumping.
  • Can jump eight inches off the ground.

 

Kaput® Flea Control Bait With Fipronil (RUP)

Use this product to kill flea populations on prairie dogs of the Genus Cynomys in parks, golf courses, non-crop rights-of-way and other non-crop areas. The insecticide in this product acts systemically to kill fleas (Oropsylla spp.) that commonly infest prairie dogs.

Use this product to aid in the reduction of flea populations on squirrels of the Genus Spermophilus and prairie dogs of the Genus Cynomys in parks, golf courses, rangeland, pasture, alfalfa, wheat, oats, barley, fruit tree orchards (dormant season only), non-crop rights-of-way and other non-crop areas. The insecticide in this product acts systemically to aid in the reduction of fleas that commonly infest listed rodents including Oropsylla idahoensis, O. hirsute and Hoplopsyllus anomalus.
