Identifying Fleas

Fleas are very small (1/6th to 1/12th of an inch in length) parasitic insects that feed on the blood of warm-blooded animals.
Reddish-brown in color that become redder after feeding
Fleas have a flat, hard body and six legs. Very long and powerful hind legs are used for jumping.
Can jump eight inches off the ground.
