Identifying Mice

  • Two to five inches in length
  • Grayish-brown with light colored fur on the belly
  • Small, black, protruding eyes
  • Nearly hairless tail
  • Primarily nocturnal
  • Most commonly discovered by droppings or damage to food items
  • Occasional sightings or sounds in the walls and or ceilings
  • Reproduction begins at 50 days of age; 20-day gestation period
  • Multiple litters per year with 10-12 young per litter
